Our Why
Meet Courtney
Courtney was a daughter, sister, friend, and bright light in the lives of so many. She was known for her kindness, her smile, and the way she made people feel seen and valued. Though her time here was far too short, her impact continues to be felt every day through the people who loved her.
Our Founder
Emily's Why
After losing her sister Courtney, Emily wanted to find a way to honor her memory while helping others facing similar struggles. What began as a deeply personal tribute quickly became something much larger — a way for families, friends, and communities to come together around mental health awareness and support.
Participants
From One Story to Many
During the first race, something unexpected happened. Hundreds of participants shared stories of loved ones they had lost, struggles they had faced, and battles they were still fighting.
We realized this race wasn't just about Courtney anymore.
It had become a place where people could come together, share their experiences, support one another, and remind each other that no one should have to struggle in silence.

Stories behind every step.
This was the first time I’ve ever done something to honor my dad, who we lost to suicide.
This race is a reminder of my mental health journey and how far I’ve come.
I run this race to honor my brother. I run for him.
